Dieter Aschenborn (b. 1915 - d. 2002) is a Namibian-born artist known for his wildlife art, landscapes, and depictions of rural African life. He is part of a renowned family of artists, with both his father, Hans Aschenborn, and grandfather being prominent figures in the art world. Dieter’s style is characterised by his attention to detail, particularly in his realistic portrayals of animals and nature.
Throughout his career, Aschenborn has exhibited in various galleries across Namibia and South Africa, and his works are widely recognised in the region. He is celebrated for his ability to capture the essence of Africa’s wilderness and culture in his paintings and drawings, often working in mediums such as oil and pencil.
